The American Dream in Death of a Salesman and the Great Gatsby...?

For my English exam, my teacher says she is going to gve us a short poem that is thematically related to both The Great Gatsby and Death of a Salesman. We have to respond with an essay, including specific references to the poem, play, and novel. Do any of you have any ideas about what the poem could be.
